When I’m not crafting headlines or building buzz for culinary creatives, you can find me POOLSIDE WITH AGUACHILE AND GUAC OR binge-watching reality tv and cooking shows (ESPECIALLY THE COMPETITIVE ONE!). guilty pleasure is to rewatch the same tv series (a different world, sex & the city, friends or cheers) to quell the endless layers of daily tasks. favorite couch snack: sweet and salty popcorn.

what i love about Working in PR:
Helping chefs and food entrepreneurs realize their story is worthy of the spotlight. Seeing their business featured in media? getting that 'thank you' call and witnessing their after-press glow...it never gets old! not to mention, the invitation to have brisket, homemade bbq sauce or cobblers sent to my doorway. the perks are almost better than a 401K match!
One Thing I Always Keep on My Desk: my cell phone, a hot cup of cinnamon tea and a stress ball.

Kelly is a powerhouse in the culinary world and beyond, with 18 years of experience shaping compelling narratives across top media markets including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. A PR dynamA, she’s known for securing high-impact media coverage in diverse industries, but her true passion lies in food - cookbooks, restaurants, food trucks, tea companies, all-things snacks and especially marginalized-owned and operated culinary businesses.
In 2013, Kelly founded A LA KET PR, a boutique agency servicing a diverse range of clients, from fashion designers, cookbook authors, mental health clinicians, beauty & grooming greats to culinary experts in hospitality, philanthropy and consumer packaged goods. Notably, as the solopreneur spearheading Black and Latin Restaurant Weeks across the nation for 5 years, Kelly placed a laser-focused spotlight on cultural foodway narratives. In 2025, she launched PLATED PR, recognizing the need for accessible, high-end PR services AT AFFORDABLE PRICES for independent culinary businesses.
